After chatting with a friend about my blog today I thought I had better add a Xmas update. Xmas angels are still at my front door and xmas lights are glowing. I enjoy the relaxed feeling after Xmas. Even though I am back at work, there is still a holiday feeling in the air.
Life drawing has finished and doesn't start back until February. I enjoyed having a plus size model at the end of term.I tend to work very large ,so it was a challenge to work a little smaller and fit a lovely rounded woman on the page.
I also managed to attempt another sculpture a week before xmas.i need to do more pre planning next time or at least have an idea before I begin.

Mona Vale market

Last Sunday my friend Mairi and I had a Stall as part of Artbeat in the hall at Mona Vale. We had a fun day and loved being part of Mona Vale's first market day.Really enjoyed setting up our stall and got lots of positive feedback and both had a successful day.

Back at life drawing class and loving it. Wishing I could work a little smaller like others in the class. Maybe I should take smaller paper.

Red Dust Blows into Sydney Today.

I woke this morning to a red glow coming in the window. My first thought was that the neighbours house was on fire . The news of the eerie red dust storm came on the radio.My next thought was the 60 or more lino print cards that I had printed the day before and were layed out to dry on the spare bed in the little studio room downstairs. I jumped up and raced down to close windows and put a towel across the crack under the door.There is a fine red dust over everything but the cards were saved

Beginning Blogging

Sitting here in front of the fire in chilly Tasmania on a visit to my sister and family. After chatting about our craft activities since we last got together, decided to start a blog. Feeling very inspired after going to Salamanca markets today in the rain.
